An expression of joy as the sentiment tug of war for once helps the oversold

… And as rotations are defined by algorithms and rebalancing

Pre-open indications: 4 hits and 1 miss

The truths of “our” universe are reported - here!

I answer one question, in which company should investors commit and keep their money. In the grip of rotating cycles and disparaging trends, what is the price of sector knowledge – a subscription!

Wednesday’s results have implications to Thursday’s sector activity as a daily report may say little or a lot and it serves as insurance that all indications are being examined and evaluated!

Henry’omics:

From the pre-open’s newsletter “the sector is spooked as the month’s close is in sight with rebalancing in progress. Q3 is also coming to an end as funds lock-in any profit.”

Reiterating, “Fasten your seatbelts; October is just around the corner, and historically it’s the most volatile month of all for stocks.”

Another embarkation point and a potential worry, the Russell 2000 rallied again on Wednesday, hitting an intraday record in what was on track to be its biggest one-day percentage gain since June. The index of small companies (RUT) after Tuesday’s +1.68% gaining another +1.92% to 1,484.81 and was set for its fifth straight daily rise, as well as its best day since June 28.

  • The index was at an all-time high, bringing its year-to-date advance more than 9%. While small-caps had been struggling, dropping between mid-July and mid-August, they have since staged a powerful rebound, gaining nearly 10% since that intraday low.

Some of MY working trend lines or indications:

… The greatest volume to the downside:  MDXG, ATHX, CAPR, BSTG and CUR

… Upside volume was weighted to:  SGMO, NWBO, VCEL, JUNO and KITE

Showing their surprise moves:

VCEL +$0.60 – a wow as the Q ends and a Ladenburg presentation, as HSGX barely pops +$0.01, AXGN +$0.10 and MDXG drops -$0.40 …

ADRO (+$0.25), ADVM (+$0.10) who presented pre-clinical ocular disorder data and even AGTC at $0.05 after being flat for 4 sessions out of six …

AST +$0.15 and mothership BTX was also up +$0.10 …

CAPR closed down -$0.06 – they can’t keep fooling investors for long …

Immuno-oncologists - JUNO +$0.63 KITE +$0.04 and BLCM +$0.06 were up .., while VSTM was recharged +$0.17

ATHX was down -$0.25 as many question their cash position going forward and their clinical “manufacturing” issues as trials continue …

CLBS closed down -$0.08 – even out of favor with all that cash, maybe an issue of focus and ability and capacity of current CEO’s strategic and tactical operating skills … just can’t get any respect!
