Out and about: Cesca Therapeutics (KOOL) is acquiring SynGen Inc., a Sacramento-based developer of cellular processing technology. Under the deal, SynGen's assets will be folded into KOOL’s subsidiary Thermogenesis Corp.
I answer one question, in which company should investors commit and keep their money.
Monday’s results have implications to Tuesday’s sector activity.
A daily report may say little or a lot and its final judgement may be inconclusive; yet it serves as insurance that all indications are being examined and evaluated.

Traders are getting ready for Q2 results which are being prepared … the sector NEEDS some catalysts but, what will matter are spending and cash positions as most development “plays” have been announced.

Cesca Therapeutics (KOOL) is acquiring SynGen Inc., a Sacramento-based developer of cellular processing technology. Under the deal, SynGen's assets will be folded into KOOL’s subsidiary Thermogenesis Corp.
- SynGen shareholders will receive $1 M in cash and 20% of ThermoGenesis's common stock.
The move indicates KOOL's interest in bolstering its regenerative medicine device division. Leading up to the acquisition, Cesca transferred its blood and bone marrow device assets to ThermoGenesis, which will now function as Cesca's primary device business.
- The stock market reacted positively to the deal, with KOOL shares closed up +$0.55, or 16.92%, to $3.80.

The Dow (-0.03%) after clinging to modest gains over the session, finished with a loss of 5.82 points, or less than 0.1%, at 21,408.52.
The S&P 500 index SPX (+0.09%) advanced 2.25 points, or 0.1%, to close at 2,427.43. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, +0.38% was the session’s best performing benchmark, closing up 23.31 points, or 0.4%, to 6,176.39.
